Manuscripts is the general collecting area of SCRC. It includes personal papers, institutional records, and photographs, primarily in the subjects of American philosophy, American and British expatriate literature, Irish literature, the Civil War, World War I and II, First Amendment freedoms, theater, and Southern Illinois history and culture.
