SCRC is open to the general public Monday - Thursday from 12:00 to 4:00. Please email us to plan your visit. Upon arriving you will need to present a photo ID, complete a researcher registration form, and fill out a call slip with the collection name and box/folder numbers you wish to see.

Proxy Researchers

If you are unable to visit SCRC, you should consider hiring a proxy researcher who can conduct research on your behalf. Contact speccoll@lib.siu.edu to obtain a list of professionals in the region who are available for hire. You are solely responsible for managing the workflow of and negotiating financial arrangements with your researcher. Please note that we encourage precisely targeted research using our finding aids and do not permit researchers, proxy or otherwise, to photograph or request copying entire boxes of materials.

SCRC is located in the Hall of Presidents & Chancellors on the first floor of Morris Library.
