Digital Collections

Main Content

SCRC maintains an active digitization program, with many papers, books, photographs, audio recordings, and videos available online. All digital materials are reproductions of original primary source items. Viewing them online can save you a visit to SCRC. Online Exhibits also contain digitized material. Note that U.S. Copyright Law governs the use of digital collectionsall copyrighted reproductions, which are not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research" (see Permissions and Copyright Policy).

HOW TO FIND

The collections are organized alphabetically by title within their respective collecting area. Each link directs to an external portal, which is hosted by an online digital repository. Most collections are available at the Internet Archive, CARLI Digital Collections, and OpenSIUC. (You can also visit the repository homepages in order to search throughout their databases for SCRC materials.) Collections represent one or more physical collection while organized around a particular theme, except “General” collections that are bulk databases of SCRC materials.
